Ingredients

BLUEBERRY BASIL SIMPLE SYRUP

1 cup of water

1/4 cup sugar

2 scoops of Blueberry Iced Chai

Zest from one lemon

1/2 cup fresh blueberries

1 cup packed fresh basil sprigs

THE CHALO ZIGGY

120 ml Tequila

120 ml Blueberry Basil Simple Syrup

60ml Cointreau

Fresh-squeezed juice from 2 limes

Extras: Limes & blueberries for garnish

BLUEBERRY BASIL SIMPLE SYRUP

Put aside about half an hour to make this Blueberry Basil Simple Syrup and refrigerate until chilled to mix up outstanding drinks for your next gathering.

 

Preparation syrup
In a saucepan, stir all ingredients together over medium heat until the sugar has melted. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened, about 15 minutes. Using a strainer, pour contents into a bowl, pressing blueberries and basil against the strainer to release all juices. Discard solids. Let cool to room temperature, then pour into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

PREPARATION ZIGGY
Assemble all ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Shake it like you mean it, then strain it into ice-filled glasses. Garnish, serve, and enjoy!
