DOES CHAI CONTAIN CAFFEINE?

Our full Chai range is based on black tea. As you know, tea also contains caffeine, only this is called differently namely theine.
The amount of theine differs per tea variety, with black tea containing e.g. twice as much theine as green tea.

Analysis results (conducted by an accredited lab) have shown that our Chai’s contain around 17mg/100ml of caffeine.
However, you only need 1 scoop (or 12g) of instant chai powder to prepare a delicious cup of Chai Latte, which makes you only get 2mg of caffeine per cup of Chai. For a cup of coffee this is about 40mg / 100ml and for Red Bull 44mg / 100ml.

HOW TO CHAI (INSTANT POWDER)

  1. Take 1 flat scoop of Chalo Chai Latte and put it in a trendy mug.
  2. Add 10 cl of hot water and stir.
  3. Now add 5 cl of milk of your preference.
  4. Hasty Chalito’s are better off using non-chilled milk. For the others, we advise heating the milk for a short while or going for a foamed version…
  5. Sweety pies finish with a cinnamon touch, spicy Chalito’s use black pepper.
  6. Want it less spice? Reverse the recipe and use more milk than water!
  7. Enjoy your Hug in a Mug!

HOW TO CHAI (ORGANIC PURE LEAF CHAI)

The Chalo Slow Chai is a perfect way to create your own perfect homemade chai latte. Try and experiment with adding more of the other spices or different kinds of milk and create your own chai recipe. This way you can start your own funky tribe recipe as we did with our Chalo Blend!

  1. Boil our spice blend for 10-15min in 500ML, depending on how spicy you want it.
  2. Then add the black tea and your milk of choice.
  3. Boil for another 2 minutes.
  4. Enjoy the perfect #Huginamug.
  5. To sweeten up your Chalo Slow Chai…
  6. Add a teaspoon of your favourite sweetener at the 2 min boil and stir. You can add any alternative sweeteners like maple syrup, honey, or agave syrup as a natural sweetener instead of regular sugar.

Because we do not believe in flavour enhancers or unnecessary preservatives, we work only with natural ingredients namely extract of Indian black tea from Indian region Assam (against the mountains, located next to the more famous Darjeeling) and the extracts of the authentically grown typical Indian herbs.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?

All orders are processed within 1-5 business days and delivery times will depend on your location. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. You can find all our shipping destinations in our shipping policy.

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING RATES & DELIVERY ESTIMATES?

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. You will find an overview of the current shipping rates and when free shipping starts in the shipping policy.

HOW DO I KNOW MY SHIPMENT CONFIRMATION IS ON THE WAY & ORDER TRACKING

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

WHAT IF MY ORDER IS DAMAGED?

Chalo Company BV is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Have you received a damaged package (due to transport)? Please contact chalo@chalocompany.com within 7 days after receiving your package.

It is important to provide sufficient evidence:

  • Clear pictures of the damaged products
  • Clear pictures of the original packaging (cardboard box) and contents
  • Picture of the corresponding B-post label that can be found on the packaging

If the above evidence can be sent to Chalo Company, we will try to provide compensation accordingly.
