Beanworks Seeds & Grains is a young, dynamic and enthusiastic trading company specialized in the trade of conventional and especially organic certified pulses, seeds & superfoods. These food raw materials are imported from origin, cleaned, and distributed worldwide, with great attention to continuous monitoring of the highest quality standards!

The goal is to deliver top quality products to the global food industry and to monitor continuous price fluctuations on a daily basis. We make this possible with a young dynamic team with extensive experience in the food sector. In addition, our company is organic and BRC certified.

Chalo® is our hip food brand that markets Funky Feel Good Food & Beverages. The name Chalo® means “Let's Go, Let's Move Forward” in Hindi and our mission is to lower the barrier to healthier nutrition by inspiring consumers to discover ingredients and recipes from other climates and cultures.

We market natural, fair trade products in a socially responsible, sustainable manner. In 2015, Funky Feel Good Food & Beverages Love brand Chalo launched its first product line, four flavors of Indian Chai. In the meantime, the range has expanded to ice teas, organic chai, and salty and sweet snacks based on legumes, nuts, and healthy seeds. During the Covid19 crisis, the company showed its agility & resilience by developing a whole range of Happy & Healthy Game changers with organic legumes, 3 colors of organic rice, 8 exclusive superfoods of top quality, and the only real organic Belgian quinoa!

Due to the rapid growth, partnerships with established multinationals, expansion of our portfolio, and the momentum in food transition, we want to fully focus on supporting our customers in setting up fair and qualitative sourcing of their ingredients and as a permanent value along with the support in developing solutions. To strengthen our team in this, we are looking for a commercial profile that is responsible for business development and account management for the development of long-term relationships with our partners.Are you in? Minimum Professional Bachelor or equivalent through experience

2-5 years of experience in a similar position in trading or food

Languages are a must: English & French are an absolute must, German or Italian speakers have an advantage

A people person who can work independently

Very good knowledge of the Office package

You work very accurately and have great self-discipline

You can work autonomously as well as in a team

Accuracy, sense of order, detail and organization are your trademark

Service and customer-oriented

You are professional, social and above all an open communicator

Good communicator

You are discreet, professional and social

Result-oriented, organizationally strong and flexible

Sufficiently accurate to be able to execute and manage your own files from A to Z.

Job description

Sales of the existing product range to existing and new customers

Expanding the portfolio with a selection of existing customers through regular telephone contact and annual visits

Following up on customer needs and thinking along with product development

Business development based on cold and warm prospecting

Drawing up and following up contracts and orders;

Planning and optimizing transport;

Coordination between production, warehouse and the customer.

Discussing the customer's quality requirements and coordinating product specifications

Management of purchase and sales rates, optimization of cost control;

Identifying trends and changes in the international market

An intensive introduction to the administration of current files on an operational, administrative and financial level.

Extensive product training across the full range

Once confident in the account knowledge you can focus on achieving commercial goals set by a Senior Trader and yourself. You quote based on analysis needs of the customer, the situation and prices in the market, follow up these quotes on sales and manage the entire process from a sales perspective. You work closely with the team to follow up your files from A to Z. A Senior Trader or partner to whom you report will monitor your progress.

By gathering product knowledge and market knowledge you will gradually evolve towards the position of Account Manager / Trader. You will then be responsible for further strategic expansion in your market area. You develop new sales initiatives, market opportunities through daily contact with customers, suppliers and colleagues at home and abroad and during business trips.
